so... I'm feeling a little braindead today.... so I'm going to host an open-mic day here at the Fever.

Well, not necassarily open-mic... just for once I'm gonna make some shit about YOU, my reader.. instead of yours truly and the mini-poop machine.

So thanks to Gina... I'm opening up the comments for y'all to find out what I think about you. here's the rules:

If you comment to this post:

1. I'll respond with something random I like about you.

2. I'll tell you what song/movie reminds me of you.

3. I'll leave you a quote that is somehow appropriate to you.

4. I'll ask you something that I've always wondered about you.

5. If I do this for you, you must (please) post this on your journal so you can do the same for other people.

I'm even gonna throw you a bone... you don't HAVE to post this on your blog if you don't want to. That's right. you get to hear what the fat lady thinks, and it'll only cost you a comment.

Will you dare?

Step right up!

1. Regardless of the situation, you remain true to your character.

2. Sweet Home Alabama (i know you live in Arkansas, but I still always think of you when I hear that song!!)

3. "Be courteous to all, but intimate with few, and let those few be well tried before you give them your confidence. True friendship is a plant of slow growth, and must undergo and withstand the shocks of adversity before it is entitled to the appellation."
George Washington (1732 - 1799)

4. If money were no object... what would you do as a career?

1. Anything that's important to you, you stick with it until you reach your goal... regardless of how long it may take.

2. "Jackson" by Johnny Cash

3. "The meeting of two personalities is like the contact of two chemical substances: if there is any reaction, both are transformed.
Carl Jung (1875 - 1961)

4. What's one thing you could change about your life?

1. Despite being a callous asshole at times, your love and support for chosen people is limitless.

2. "Come Sail Away" as sung by Cartman. That, and "Crying" by Roy Orbison.

3. People grow through experience if they meet life honestly and courageously. This is how character is built.
Eleanor Roosevelt (1884 - 1962), My Day

4. Dude... what was UP with that whole Harry-Krishna episode?

1. That you say the rosary every day.

2. "In My Life" by the Beatles. It makes me think of your relationship with mom, and that's some shit I dig.

3. It is a wise father that knows his own child.
William Shakespeare (1564 - 1616), "The Merchant of Venice", Act 2 scene 2

4. What is one thing you wish you told Gram and Granpa before they died?

1. You're SO ACCEPTING of people. I admire that so much.

2. "The Fly" by U2. I always think of U2 when it comes to you, and The Fly has enough funk and decent lyrics to stand up as you.

3. "Hold faithfulness and sincerity as first principles.
Confucius (551 BC - 479 BC), The Confucian Analects

4. If you could land the dream role... what would it be, and would it be theater or big screen?

1. You're not showy with all the good deeds you do. You make a point to make others feel good, but in private, personal ways... which makes it mean that much more.

2. "Margaritaville" by Jimmy Buffett. (sorry... no deep meaning here... justa fun song that makes me think of you!)

3. "Of course there is no formula for success except perhaps an unconditional acceptance of life and what it brings."
Arthur Rubinstein (1886 - 1982)

4. When all is said and done... what is the ONE trait about yourself that you hope Kendal will also possess?

ok... I think I'm all caught up now!

Carrie said...

oh, and like I said in the post... no need to play along. if you HAVE a blog and you want to do this, rock on, if it tickles you to do so. otherwise... just take the free opportunity to hear what I think about you!

Angela said...

Thanks Carrie!

So, if I could change anything about my life, what would it be? Hmm.....I would like to not be in so much debt, that is for sure, but regarding all of the major decisions I have made, I can't think of anything I would have done differently.

I would have rather my parents not gotten divorced, but then I wouldn't have 2 brothers, 2 sisters, 2 other parents and other family members in my life, so I am happy with how it has worked out.

I guess one thing I would like to change is to have had the opportunity to have my maternal grandparents around longer.

I suppose it is a very good thing to have to think so long and hard to come up with things to change. I guess I must be pretty happy! :-)

Hi! I'd like to play!

DO ME!!!

Kelli said...

Carrie, you've made my day! Thanks!

As for the one thing I want to pass on to Kendal, that's easy. I am proud of the fact that I accept others easily, regardless of race, religion, beliefs....and I want that for my daughter. I believe people would be much happier if they would just learn to LOVE. That's what I want for my daughter.

Of course I don't have a blog either...

2. I'll change it up.. movie--- Under the Tuscan Sun

3. "Think of all the beauty still left around you and be happy."
Anne Frank (1929 - 1945), Diary of a Young Girl, 1952

4. What is stopping you from your dreams?

1. You always have a sense of calm about you. Every time I read your posts, you envelope me in, and I feel relaxed.

2. "What a wonderful World" by Louis Armstrong

3. "In all things of nature there is something of the marvelous."

4. Where would you want the next 'reunion' to be, if it means you would be there?

ok... caught up again. I'll take requests until my next new post is up.

I'm enjoying this, by the way... it's really given me the chance to stop for a moment and REALLY think of each of you. I should do activities like this more often.
