well.. we all survived his first day.
who's that? oh yeah.. HIS first day!
That would be Daniel Richard, our new not-so-little little boy.
Eventually I'll get around to telling you about how I made a complete ASS of myself talking when on lots of drugs, and how I threw up like it was my job in the operating room. I imagine I'll be spending future days pondering about how LARGE my son's ball sack seems in comparison to his tiny tiny little penis, and just how difficult it really is to clean said genital area when covered in a mucous-based tar-colored shit.
(for those of you who aren't in the know, like I wasn't in the know a few days ago... might I suggest taking a walnut, dipping it in blackish green latex paint, and using a papertowel to wipe clean. Add screaming child who maintains continuous ability to stick own feet in his own still-covered-in-shit-asscrack, and now you know the experience of cleaning up Danny's diaper...)
but like I said... there's time for that later.
Right now, I'm here to say that it was all worth it. the puking, the cramping, the stress, the more puking, the pebble shits, and everything. I'm completely in love, and while I'm still slightly nervous about how it's going to be to raise a boy into a good man like his father.... I absolutely can't imagine if he was a she.

awwwww boys are such a joy.
A hint on the cleaning issue- get a Peri bottle and fill it with warm water. Squeeze it gently on the little walnut and appendage while holding a washcloth underneath.
Then it should come off easily.
Those wipes will irritate the hell out of it!
Also, use a little desitin every time even if there is no rash. Just a little to keep things nice.
Good luck!
I am SO excited for Amber to have her little boy!
eeeekk!

I can't wait to see more of him! We were in Charlotte the other day, and I sooooo wanted to come see you. However, it was ten at night when we got there, and we left around one am. I kinda thought visiting hours were over, and that you would be a wee bit tired after a LONNNNGGGG day. Oh, and the fact that you don't actually know me...I'm so excited for you!
I guess, though, this kinda ends all plans to try to hook my new little one up w/your new little one, eh?
Oh, and I'll tell you THE MOST IMPORTANT and HELPFUL tip I EVER got for raising a baby boy...Always tuck it down. It will save you endless hours of leaks and middle of the night changing of clothes!
What a nice big cuddly boy. I had big babies and just loved how cuddly they were. God Bless You Both!
Congrats to the whole family!
Oh yay!! Congratulations!!!! We're so happy for you over here!!!! And I love that you call him Danny :) So glad Momma and baby are doing great!
Ummm, I realize that you are busy being a new mom, and adjusting, and trying to catch some zzzzz's, but I am making a humble request to please show us some more pictures of your baby, b/c I'm about to bust to see him!
Congrats Sweetie!!! I'm SOOOO Happy for you!! I can't wait to see pics of him and his big sister too! I hope that you are feeling well and can't wait to hear the story of how you threw up as much as the pistons aren't that cool anymore. but i still love them and i still love you :) teehee!!

Make sure to record all these good emeroies so you can bring them up when he gets his first girlfriend in the (what will most likely come way to quickly) future!
Congrats!
Glad everything worked out.
and, IMHO, an inspired name choice.
(Just because I'm biased doesn't mean I'm wrong.)
Going down my list trying to leave some comments....
Hope Danny is well and mommy is holding it together!
