High and Tight

I know this phrase can mean a lot to a lot of different folks..... marine's haircut... mom jeans.... a prude at a club....

in this case I'm talking about my cervix.

just checking in real quick in between a diaper change and run to do some errands to let y'all know that there is no eminant sign of this child coming out soon. my cervix... much like a turtle.... is hard, closed, and about 50 feet up my who-hah. (-2 station for all y'all med nerds)

I'm guessing that the kid will arrive somewhere between nov 12th-15th... much to the chagrin of my Nov 7th due date. but that's just me.

feel free to bet amongst yourselves as I go change my child's shit-covered ass, then spend my husband's hard-earned money at middle-class america's crackhouse...

How sad is it that I knew exactly what you were talking about when I read the title? Pregnancy and its lingo, gotta love it.

You still have lots of time before November 7th. Besides, some people just start dilating and effacing once they go into labor and everything goes fine. Don't get discouraged. :)

I may know nothing about pregnancy, but I am highly educated in the world of Target shopping. God I love that store.

Things can change so fast - so the current status really doesn't mean much. Someone can walk around 3 cm dilated for a week!

I heart Target. Are you stocking up on fruit snacks?

MWAH!!!

AAAAGGGGGHHHHHHH!!!! The LAST thing I wanted to hear was that someone could walk around dilated to three centimeters for a week! I just found out Mon. that I'm 3-4 cm. dilated, and he's just gonna fall out soon, or so the dr. said. As of yet, nothing. Maybe I'll be joining you on that 12-15th date!

Hey..I'M a med nerd..lol.

I was begging my OB to get the ball rolling after walking around for two weeks at 4cm. He refused. In fact, he said he'e probably see me at the next week's appointment. I even asked how big he thought the baby was since I was as big as a house and feeling like a weebol wobble.

His answer? Oh...7, maybe 7 1/2 lbs...

12 hours later? The Bee. All 9 1/2 lbs of him. You know it's a big baby when the nurse, who's watching your who-ha like it's a TV playing an episode of CSI, says during the emergence, "Holy crap, that's a big baby..."

The point?? 12 hours baby. 12 hours from being told, "nuthin" to baby boy.

Hang in there, woman!
